Whilst we are all feeling renewed and revitalized to start the year, I would like to welcome you to our first exciting 2021 edition of the Daimler Trucks & Buses digital magazine. 2021 proved to be another transformative year for us as Daimler Trucks & Buses Southern Africa (DTBSA), one filled with milestones that give us all the reasons to celebrate what we have accomplished as a collective. As we reflect on this monumental year, I would like to use this opportunity to give you a glimpse on some of these proud moments for us as a company: As I close, I would like to acknowledge the incredible resilience and grit shown by our customers, dealer partners, and employees in pursuing our purpose for all who keep Africa moving. We appreciate the opportunity to maintain solid leadership with our premium Mercedes-Benz Trucks brand, to offer versatility for multiple applications with our FUSO brand, and make an impact with Mercedes-Benz Bus within the commuter, City, and Coach segment. Further to this, we witnessed significant growth in our parts business and enjoyed the benefits of our growing TruckStore presence and footprint across South Africa. Once again thank you for your continued commitment and effort. Every one of us has an important role to play in the work ahead to support the trucking industry and I am confident that together we will achieve great things. I firmly believe that 2022 is set to be another exciting year for all of us and we look forward to further delivering the best products and services to our valued customers.
